Offering three powerful synthesizers for creating and modifying sonic textures used for melodies, chords, and bass lines, SynthStation is built around Akai Professional's expertise in synthesis and draws on the newest MINIAK synth for its wide-ranging sonic flexibility through virtual analog synthesis.

From the moment you start using SynthStation, its user-friendly design will make it easy to navigate. Packed with tools to help you create music using your touch screen, each section works seamlessly. With SynthStation, you can create and save sequences and even complete songs. The app includes three different three-oscillator synths and a range of drum kits that can be sequenced and mixed right in the SynthStation. For creating melodic and accompaniment parts, SynthStation also features an arpeggiator with preset patterns, built-in effects and filters, and an XY touch control interface for expressive control of key parameters.

PERFORM:

Play music using the keys, XY, and arpeggiator controls. This feature is perfect for creating magic as it provides easy access to all the common controls needed for performance or creation settings.

SYNTH:

Take advantage of complete synthesis controls, from oscillators to LFOs, envelopes, and more. With a wide range of filters available, you can easily fine-tune the sound you desire. Choose from Sine, Triangle, Square, or Sawtooth waves on your VCO and start creating your own signature sounds from scratch. Filter Cutoff and Resonance are just two taps away.

DRUMS:

In addition to the three synthesizers, SynthStation includes drum kits and a visually represented MPC pads. Simply select your kit and start tapping beats anytime and anywhere. The drums section offers the following:

• Drum Kit: Select the drum kit and play it using the onscreen pads.
• Drum Edit: Tune, mix, and customize your drums.

SEQUENCER:

• Keyboard grid: See your keyboard sequences and easily edit notes.
• Drum grid: Build and modify drum tracks using a visible sequencer grid.

SONG/SEQUENCE:

Select and save your Song/Sequence projects. You can recall your songs and continue working on them later, or export them for further editing in your desktop audio applications.

CONTROL:

• XY: Two axes of control for hands-on, real-time control. Similar to a joystick, the XY controller can snap back to the zero point.
• Tempo: Control the tempo and even tap in the desired tempo.

MIXER:

The Mixer in SynthStation features touch-controlled faders for each of the three synthesizers and the drum section, as well as FX send for each.

• Mixer: Mix all the levels of the parts and effects. Similar to a hardware mixer, it includes faders, mutes, and effect routing.
• Effects: Select and control FX type and parameters.
